Landscape Crew

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week, OVERTIME ELIGIBLE

The Landscape Crew performs manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking and fulfillment of customer orders in the landscape nursery.

  • Hauling and mixing topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil, using hand tools.
  • Digging, raking, and screening soil and filling buckets and boxes to prepare them for planting.

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • General laborer with experience with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
  • Able to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.

Physical Demands:  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind. 

OTHER

This position is full time and may be scheduled any of the 7 days of the week. Must be able to pass drug screen.

El equipo de jardinería realiza el trabajo manual para ayudar en el mantenimiento, almacenamiento y      cumplimiento de los pedidos de los clientes en el vivero de jardinería.

  • Transportar y mezclar tierra vegetal, fertilizantes, turba y otros materiales para acondicionar el suelo, usando herramientas manuales.
  • Excavar, rastrillar y tamizar la tierra y llenar cubos y cajas para prepararlos para la siembra.

Calificaciones: conocimientos, habilidades y habilidades

  • Se prefiere trabajador en general con experiencia en herramientas eléctricas, herramientas manuales y otros equipos.
  • Capaz de seguir instrucciones y protocolos de seguridad específicos.

Demandas físicas: 

Mientras realiza las tareas de este trabajo, el empleado debe hablar y escuchar regularmente. Esta posición es muy activa y requiere estar de pie, caminar, agacharse, arrodillarse, agacharse, gatear y trepar todo el día. El empleado debe levantar y/o mover con frecuencia artículos de más de 50 libras.
